No code has given non-technical founders an unfair advantage.
They are now creating SaaS startups that make over $10k per month.
Here are the stories of 7 founders who built such startups:
1. Scribly
This startup helps you create marketing content.
Dani Bell, who was a full-time copywriter, had the knowledge to build a productized service but lacked technical skills. She took advantage of no-code tools.
Scribly now makes $30k per month.
2. Comet
This app lets you hire data and tech freelancers.
Charles, a non-technical founder, used no code to create an MVP. He identified a significant gap in the market.
The app raised $13 million in 2018.
3. Better Legal
This app helps you set up your business, especially legal documents.
The founder, Chad, was spending a lot of money on full-time developers to maintain the site. After discovering Bubble, he switched his business model.
Now, the startup makes $1 million per year.
4. Airspace
This app lets you quickly ship donated organs.
Kory Hunter, a non-technical founder, used Bubble to quickly create an MVP. Even though the website requires a complicated logistics setup, no-code was still very useful.
Airspace is now operational in over 120 hospitals.
5. Dividend
This app lets you finance your home solar panel.
Though niche, it has been a huge success. Initially, they tried traditional development, but it took too long. They eventually used Bubble to build an MVP in 6 weeks.
The startup raised $380 million in 2022.
6. Qoins
This app uses everyday spare change to help pay off your debt.
Nate and Christian co-founded this startup using Bubble and grew it to 10,000 paying customers. Although the app was shut down due to legal issues.
It helped students pay off a combined $35 million in debt.
7. TealHQ
This app lets you bookmark jobs and make resume.
The founder, Dave, created this app using Bubble to build the MVP. He also used other no-code tools like Airtable, Zapier, and Framer to refine his startup.
In 2020, the startup raised $5 million.
My take:
Most founders built their apps as a side hustle.
They had a great idea and the right skills.
